See The Show
We’re really excited about Origins Popup Cafe and Feast Your Eyes Gallery Space – all the coffees we’re going to have and art we’re going to see there this year. Starting with the exhibition opening of local artist Sarana Haeata’s first solo exhibition ‘The Show’, this Friday 6 January 6–8pm.

Origins on High Street: Coffee, Art & A Touch of Science
I paid a flying visit into Origins this morning to check out Freo’s latest place to enjoy a great coffee. The guys from The Attic have done a brilliant job of fitting out the space to make it part specialist pop-up coffee shop, part gallery, and all round cool space.
Given that the back part doesn’t really see any daylight, it feels really light and airy.
Coffee made old-school style like a science experiment has got to be a good thing. Attention to detail, style, modern creative use of a period space. The West End gets a bit better very week.

Café/Gallery on High
High Street has a new café/gallery opening on High Street a few doors down from Remedy. I think it’s specialising in single origin coffee and tea and it has a gallery space out the back.

The Buffalo Club Reborn
The final night of the Hidden Treasures Winter Music Sessions saw The Buffalo Club completely Pat Raftered. Every type of person turned up to see San Cisco and later Stoney Joe. All people could talk about, apart from the music, was how great it was to have so many bodies out and about. The High Street went from ghost town to awesome downtown one fell swoop.
More of the same please.

Hidden Treasures – Winter Music Sessions
Think nothing happens in the Winter? Hidden Treasures is a Winter music series that sets out to throw a bit of life back in to Fremantle’s High Street. Have a look on the FaceBook page there’s lots of info there about what’s on for the rest of July.
Here’s some beautiful photos that will make you want to get your arse off the sofa.

Breaks Values your Feedback
I spotted the mother of all feedback forms when I went for Breaksfast (geddit) the other morning at Breaks on High Street. Great idea.
