Fish Mural at the Old Cellars

It’s been a while Freo folks, we’ve been off on holidays and pre-occupied with Fringe World this past two weeks. Anyway we’re glad to back in Fremantle again.

A couple of weeks ago I was driving past the Old Bridge Wine Cellars in North Freo and noticed some shenanigans under way on their outside wall. When I went back a few days late the result was this impressive fish mural. As you can see I snapped a picture with my trusty camera phone under dodgy lighting conditions.

I’m not entirely sure what type of fish it is but I’m sure it must be a WA local. Answers on a postcard please. Being in the market for some booze I popped inside too. I’ve always like their display of wine on cut up and glued together wine boxes and cartons. The Old Bridge is a great bottle, shop. The owners are friendly and they know their wines. (Plus they sell La Paletas :o )

We’ve driven by and seen it, but without a camera. It’s a great big wall and a fantastic spot to do a mural. I saw some photos on Instagram as well.

It was painted by Herbert Marshall, a local fremantle artist. Old bridge actually held a mini exhibition for him a few weeks ago.
