Winning Spaces
There are many aspects to architecture, but the focus should always be on creating spaces which people love to be in. A studio which does this exceptionally well is Freo’s very own CODA studio, who received five awards in this year’s Australian Institute of Architects awards. Well done, guys. The 2012 AIA Architecture Awards were a big win for Freo in general!
Officer Woods scored two major awards for their fantastic housing project in Stevens Street for local development innovators, EarthCare. Armstrong Parkin picked up a Commendation in the Public Buidlings category, and Bernard Seeber won the overall “Best in Show” the George Temple Poole Award for the Hilton Community Centre as well as the urban design award for the same project….I think we are in safe hands and we’re looking forward to more great pieces of architecture adding to Fremantle’s rich history!
