Lunch at Aubergine
Myself and The Brunette had a tasty lunch at Aubergine on South Terrace. He had an open lamb burger and I had a spinach salad with grilled free range chicken.

Aubergine on the Inside
The lamb burger looked great it came with cucumber riata, a stack of seasonal vegetables (aubergine, courgette, pumpkin and tomatoes), and apple chutney. It was stacked really high on the plate one of these things that you have to knock over to start eating. He said the burger was a little overdone be he scoffed the lot with out any further complaint.
My spinach salad was also very good. I had one about a week ago in Ruocco’s on South Terrace and Aubergines was way better.
This one had pine nuts, avocado, honey, roasted pumpkin, oven dried tomato, fetta and croutons. The chicken was thigh-meat so it was really full of flavour. I’ve gone off chicken breast a bit it doesn’t really taste of anything. The only fault was the pumpkin could have been cooked a bit more it was still a bit hard for my taste and I left most of that behind.
I really like Aubergine you can have breakfast all day, there’s a good atmosphere and it’s dog friendly (as long as they’re outside).

What a beautiful name for that fruit. I always choked when I heard eggplant. lol
